Penn State Center for Neural Engineering is home to research overlapping the boundaries between engineering and the physical sciences – including physics, chemistry and mathematics – and their application to brain sciences and brain health. Its faculty have primary expertise in materials and devices, theory and computation, brain physiology and brain human health, but recognize that with collaborations across disciplinary boundaries, they can achieve together far more than they can on their own to solve the basic sciences of brain function and applied questions in improving brain health.
