The Division of Thoracic Surgery in Penn State College of Medicine's Department of Surgery treats patients with benign and malignant thoracic diseases, including conditions of the lungs, esophagus, airway, mediastinum, chest wall, diaphragm and pleura. One of the most common conditions treated is lung cancer.

Division physicians offer an advanced level of expertise and provide care via endoscopic, minimally invasive and complex open surgeries and interventions.
