Research interests
Dr. Ariane Levesque is a research psychologist leading the development and implementation of the psychosocial research program in pediatric oncology within Penn State Health Children's Hospital.
Dr. Levesque’s research focuses on improving quality of life and psychosocial well-being for children with cancer, survivors and their families. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating supportive care and behavior change interventions, as well as assessing the evolution of psychosocial outcomes across the cancer continuum. She is especially interested in the role of family dynamics in shaping outcomes in children with cancer and survivors, and in identifying evidence-based approaches to deliver psychosocial support at the individual- and family-level from the start of cancer treatments to survivorship.
