Dr. Arthur Berg frequently engages in collaborative research relating to all forms of biostatistics and bioinformatics analyses. He has utilized numerous software tools to perform diverse types of statistical analyses, and he has developed many computational tools of his own.
In addition to his computational strengths, Dr. Berg has also written a number of methodological papers in biostatistics, statistics and statistical genetics.
During his time at Penn State, Dr. Berg has participated in several successful collaborations with faculty, postdocs and students that has involved biostatistical expertise.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. Arthur Berg has taught a range of courses to all different kinds of learners, including middle-school students, community college students, undergraduate students and graduate students. For the past several years at Penn State, he has taught a PhD-level Bayesian statistics course, which is synergistic to his recent research efforts.
Dr. Berg has also served as the program director for the Biostatistics PhD Program at Penn State College of Medicine since its inception in 2011, and has methored graduate students and postdocs while at Penn State and previously at the University of Florida.
