Research interests
Dr. Brandt Groh is interested in researching infection-triggered arthritides and specifically post-streptococcal arthritis. He is enrolling patient in a prospective study to better define both serologic and microbiologic findings in this group of patients.
He also has a research interest in the autoinflammatory diseases and maintains a database of these patients.
He participated in multicenter studies of systemic juvenile ideopathic arthritis and Lyme arthritis in the past.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. Brandt Groh serves as a research mentor for fellows in the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at Penn State Children's Hospital. Fellows choosing Dr. Groh as their mentor have the benefit joining his prospective strep study or initiating another project employing his autoinflammatory disease database.
