Research interests
Dr. Chintan Gandhi is a neonatologist who has strong commitment to research in understanding the role of innate immunity in lung injury. Dr. Gandhi’s overall research focuses on understanding the impact of surfactant protein-A genetic variants on various pulmonary diseases, with a major focus on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) pathogenesis, host pathogen interactions and innate immune responses to bacterial and viral infections.
