Dr. Dahlia Mukherjee is interested in inflammatory, neural and decision making correlates in major depressive and bipolar disorders. Her work aims to take a multi-method assessment approach to understanding the underlying mechanisms leading to and/or maintaining depression. Dr. Mukherjee is also interested in a more rigorous measurement-based care for the treatment of patients diagnosed with a mental illness. She is a member of the Penn State Psychiatry Clinical Assessment and Rating Evaluation System (PCARES) committee. PCARES is a system created to provide clinicians and patients with data to enhance clinical encounters and improve diagnostic accuracy of patients.
