Research interests
Dr. David Goldenberg's basic science research focuses on thyroid cancer genomics as well as radiation-included and familial thyroid cancer. His clinical research focus is on outcomes and etiology of the rise in incidence of thyroid cancer.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. David Goldenberg has recruited and retained talented surgeons and mentored and taught residents, fellows and medical and graduate students.
Clinical interests
Dr. David Goldenberg’s clinical practice includes head and neck cancers, thyroid cancers and parathyroid disease, and radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules. His clinical research focus is on outcomes and etiology of the rise in incidence of thyroid cancer. His basic research lab and basic research focus on thyroid cancer genomics in familial non-medullary thyroid cancer and radiation-induced thyroid cancer. Dr. Goldenberg is an accomplished and prolific author of over 260 journal articles, 40 book chapters and eight books in the field of head and neck and thyroid oncology and surgery. His latest book "Head & Neck Endocrine Surgery - A Comprehensive Textbook, Surgical, and Video Atlas" (Thieme 2021) is the most comprehensive textbook to date on the subject of thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
