Dr. Gary Thomas has participated in a variety of quality projects and research projects related to multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology and medical education, including Industry-sponsored clinical trials, basic science research and investigator-initiated research.
Clinical interests
Dr. Gary Thomas is director of Penn State Health's comprehensive multiple sclerosis center, caring for patients with a variety of neuroimmunological conditions including MS, neurosarcoidosis, neuromyelitis optica and paraneoplastic disorders. Dr. Thomas participates in performance of and interpretation of EMG/NCS studies and EEG studies. As with all neurology faculty, Dr. Thomas participates in general neurology patient care in tandem with residents in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
