Dr. Joseph Seemiller's research focuses on understanding non-motor aspects of Parkinson's disease. Specifically, he seeks to better understand cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease, including factors that increase and decrease risk of cognitive impairment.
Dr. Joseph Seemiller is fellowship-trained in movement disorders and cares for patients with a variety of different movement disorders. This includes conditions with parkinsonism, dystonia, ataxia, and dyskinesia. He also can modulate deep brain stimulator devices for Parkinson's disease and essential tremor, and he performs botulinum toxin injections for people with dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and sialorrhea (excess drooling).
