Dr. Juan Qiu is interested in healthy lifestyle medicine and a person’s wellbeing. She has published review articles on many clinical topics over the years.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. Juan Qiu is strongly interested in medical education. She has taught medical students in both the classroom and clinical settings. Her roles include serving as a core facilitator for inquiry-based group learning and course director for first-year medical students at the University Park campus. She also enjoys precepting family medicine residents regularly.
Clinical interests
Dr. Juan Qiu is trained in family medicine with a full scope of clinical practice, caring patients of all age groups and gender. She attends and addresses patient's overall health care needs, including medical problem management, preventive medical care, and physical and mental well-being. She is interested in preventive medicine and office procedures and is keen on promoting a healthy lifestyle. She is also a certified acupuncturist.
