Research interests

Dr. Meredith Schade is interested in the management of bone and joint infections, especially in the setting of implanted hardware. She is currently working on a retrospective case series of musculoskeletal infections in people who inject drugs and enjoys clinical research projects.

Clinical interests

Dr. Meredith Schade joined the faculty at Penn State College of Medicine in 2014 after completing a fellowship in infectious diseases at Rutgers: New Jersey Medical School. Before her practice in infectious diseases, Dr. Schade practiced general internal medicine in the community and as a member of the general internal medicine faculty at Rutgers: NJMS.

Her current clinical work is focused on adult patients with complicated bone and joint infections.

Teaching and educational interests

Dr. Meredith Schade enjoys writing case reports and case series with learners at all levels, including medical students, residents and infectious disease fellows.
