Dr. Michael Belmonte's research focuses on health equity, quality improvement, diversity in contraceptive clinical trials, and medical education. He strives to answer clinical and educational questions that affect the care of his patients every day.
Dr. Belmonte teaches residents and medical students in topics related to complex family planning and general obstetrics and gynecology, as well as advocacy. He is particularly interested in ethics, simulation, and intimate partner violence (IPV).
Dr. Belmonte works with patients to ensure they feel seen, heard, and are well taken care of, regardless of their identities. He cares for adolescents and adults, throughout their reproductive years, in pregnancy, through menopause, and beyond. His clinical interests focus on complex contraception and miscarriage management.
