Dr. Michael Partin’s primary research interests include innovation in medical education and curriculum design both at the undergraduate and graduate medical education level. His clinical research areas also include studying social determinants of health as it relates to prenatal care, dermoscopy in primary care and quality improvement. He has partnered with faculty, residents and medical students to create a grant-funded nutrition program for underserved patient populations in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. Dr. Partin has partnered with residents and co-faculty authors to publish a number of clinical reviews on dermatologic conditions, asthma and preventative services.
Dr. Michael Partin holds educational interests in both undergraduate and graduate medical education. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency at Penn State Hershey. He is the faculty lead for the development and implementation of the quality improvement curriculum within the Family Medicine Residency. He serves as an assessor for the Clinical Competency Committee and advises several resident physicians. He has mentored numerous medical students and residents through various research projects and has a passion for teaching medical students and residents in the clinic setting.
Dr. Michael Partin provides full-scope outpatient primary care services to adult and pediatric patients with particular interests in geriatrics, prenatal care and office-based procedures.
