    Research interests

    Working in the areas of bioethics, law, and health humanities, Michele Mekel’s work is interdisciplinary. It also spans both the theoretical and the applied. She is co-PI of the Viral Imaginations: COVID-19 project, which collects, displays, and archives the first-person narratives of Pennsylvanians’ lived pandemic experiences expressed through visual art and creative writing.
