Dr. Natalie Aucutt-Walter is a vascular neurologist specializing in acute care of hospitalized stroke patients and the evaluation and management of carotid stenosis and other cerebrovascular diseases.
Serving as director of inpatient service for the Department of Neurology, she heads a team of highly trained professionals who coordinate all aspects of inpatient care. These include stroke treatment and prevention, stroke education for patients and their families, discharge planning, referral to acute inpatient rehabilitation and follow-up for continued management of post-stroke recovery.
Dr. Aucutt-Walter also provides acute stroke telehealth services and vascular neurology consultation to numerous hospitals serving central Pennsylvania. She guides the medical management and transfer of acute stroke patients who qualify for neurovascular intervention and neuro-intensive care to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
