She is a driving force behind Penn State’s annual addiction symposium, which began in 2015 and each year brings together nearly 150 physicians, scientists, students, postdoctoral fellows, directors from treatment centers and community members. The goal is to advance knowledge and retool treatment options so that people with addictions can break a potentially life-ending cycle.
Dr. Grigson has received the College of Medicine's Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and has mentored eight graduate students and two postdoctoral fellows in successful National Research Service Awards from the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
