Dr. Sankar Bandyopadhyay's present research interests are in novel therapeutics in myasthenia gravis. This includes work funded by the Muscular Dystrophy Association and pharmaceutical companies.
Past research interests have included Vitamin D deficiency and neuromuscular diseases; osteoporosis and neuromuscular diseases; and inclusion body myositis.
Dr. Sankar Bandyopadhyay's clinical interests include diseases of peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junctions and muscles; muscular dystrophies; hereditary nerve and muscle diseases; neurophysiology with EMG; and chemodenervation with Botulinum toxin for chronic migraine and dystonia.
