Dr. Sophia Allen's research interests focus on substance use (nicotine) and addiction among African Americans who smoke and improving the impact of mobile health (mHealth) interventions on smoking cessation to reduce health disparities.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. Sophia Allen's teaching and educational interests include formal lecturing, research training and mentoring of master-level and doctoral-level students in health disparities research.
