A novel all solid state 100+ channel beam multiplexer for high energy (100 kW-1000 kW) fiber laser.Abstract:A university-led mult'idisciplinary team (including university, DoD lab, and industry) will develop a revolutionary all solid state beam multiplexer, whic'h can combine power from more than 100 fiber lasers together without sacrificing the beam quality. The average power can be increase'd to the lethal 100-1000 kW level by harnessing this novel beam combining technology,which represents a major advance in fiber lase'r directed energy weapon technology.
