Project Details

Description

This award is for the acquisition of a circular dichroism (CD) spectropolarimeter with Peltier temperature control and stopped-flow detection. The instrument will be used for undergraduate research by five investigators and their 20-30 undergraduate students in five different fields of research.

Undergraduates will be the primary users of this instrumentation, and they will be trained in theory, data acquisition, and data analysis. This instrumentation will fill a gap in the university's technical capabilities and will improve the exposure of students to fundamental concepts and applications of biomolecular structure.
