Application of ambulatory methods for assessing short- and long-term associations of sleep health with cognitive decline in older adults

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Narrative Disturbed sleep is a common, modifiable factor that may be associated with increased risk of cognitive decline and AD onset. Our novel approach will apply ambulatory, ecologically valid assessments of sleep and cognition over bursts of 14-days, each year in order to assess both the short-term and long-term associations of sleep health with cognitive decline and incident MCI in a community residing older cohort. This information may inform future preventive interventions.
