Project Details
Description
To date nearly all studies of how DNA variants impact genes have been carried out in people of European descent. But insights gained from them do not always translate to other populations. By combining measurements of gene expression obtained at a single cell level with samples from Island Southeast Asia, this project will be the first to characterise the genetic differences that impact immune response in these populations, with implications for disease progression and personalised medicine.
