Conducting three conferences to link population health scientists and to advance population health research in support of a Culture of Health

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This grant supports the development and hosting of three research conferences for fall 2015, 2016, and 2017. The goal of these conferences is to convene population health scientists, across multiple disciplines, to share findings; develop new projects and interdisciplinary partnerships; and build the knowledge of population health. The first conference will be a pilot conference held immediately before the Institute of Medicine's Roundtable on Population Health Improvement. Each subsequent conference will implement lessons learned from the previous events. Deliverables will include electronic-media content to disseminate meeting highlights for public consumption; live streams and archives of keynote sessions to allow those not able to attend the meeting to view meeting highlights; an edited monograph featuring research presented at the conferences; and a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal.
