Description
AI and in particular machine learning are efficient approaches to solving various modelling and automation tasks. However, usually to build and efficiently operate such a system involves interaction between the AI and humans. The project studied the interaction between humans and AIs on two fronts. The first of these was related to the training and creation of AIs in an efficient manner from human input. Results indicate that smaller amounts of training examples are required if a single training example has higher information content. The second was related to the role AI can play in content creation, especially how modern machine learning technology can generate high-quality visual and textual material when appropriately directed. The results from this vein of work suggest that by combining a 'classical' information retrieval algorithm with modern machine learning methods it is possible to devise a system that allows to easily generate synthetic photographs.
