DEVELOPING YOUTH FARM SAFETY EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN SOUTHEASTERN U.S. USING THE NATIONAL SAFE TRACTOR AND MACHINERY OPERATION PROGRAM

This project focuses on the development of youth farm safety and safe tractor and machinery operation training using the National Safe Tractor and Machinery Operation Program (NSTMOP) materials in the Southeastern US through workshops planned and organized through 1980 Institutions. The project will also develop additional single concept task sheets to expand and enhance the current NSTMOP materials and website. The NSTMOP materials will be translated in Spanish to increase their use in promoting youth safety in production agriculture operations.
