Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

PIN-PMN-PT piezoelectric ceramics will be selected as the target system, which will be modified by acceptor dopants and textured using [001]c oriented BaTiO3 templates. The effects of acceptor dopant type/concentration/location on phase structure, texture development, and dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties will be systematically investigated. Rayleigh analysis will be performed to delineate the reversible and irreversible contributions to the enhanced piezoelectric response. The spatial domain structures and domain evolutions will be investigated and correlated with crystallographic nature and electrical properties to explore the physical origin of giant piezoelectricity in acceptor(s)-doped PIN-PMN-PT textured ceramics.
