Project Details

Description

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can be used to generate local brain activation noninvasively. The dynamics of the TMS-evoked brain activity can be recorded with electroencephalography (EEG) with millisecond time resolution. Combined TMS–EEG is a powerful tool for studying effective connectivity in the brain. Within this project I will develop instrumentation for multi-locus TMS and to conduct TMS–EEG research using the developed device. The research will be carried out at the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, Aalto University, in collaboration with University of Tübingen.
