Description
Project Narrative
The proposed research is relevant to public health because it aims to identify novel digital
biomarkers to detect subtle cognitive decline in the preclinical phase of Alzheimer’s disease and
related dementias (ADRD) and that can be used to evaluate outcomes of early interventions
aimed at mitigating advanced cognitive decline. The proposed research is relevant to NIH’s
mission as it contributes to fundamental knowledge to protect health. It also aligns well with the
NIA’s Strategic Directions for Research on Aging goals of understanding the dynamics of the
aging process, including the prognosis of disease.
