The main goal of this proposal is to explore the phase diagram of QCD using lattice techniques, to significantly improve on previous results, and even to reach out to poorly known regions. In addition phenomenologically relevant questions will be answered, such as charge fluctuations and the equation of state at non-vanishing strangeness.
