Understanding the neural mechanisms underlying the benefits of unitization on associative memory in young and older adults

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

PROJECT NARRATIVE Age-related memory decline is one of the most salient cognitive deficits affecting older adults. Negative impacts of memory failures in older adults can range from emotional distress and embarrassment to potential life- threatening outcomes, especially in cases where individuals experience memory errors for important health and safety information. Identifying strategies to reduce these errors is critical to enhancing memory functioning and quality of life in healthy older adults.
