Abstract
We identify g + g → χJ (cc) + χJ′ (bb) (J, J′) = 0, 1, 2,), followed by radiative decays, as the lowest-order, O(α4s), QCD processes leading to ψΥ{hooked} production in hadronic collisions. We have calculated the partonic cross-sections for these subprocesses and use these to present differential cross-sections for ψΥ{hooked} production in pp collisions at CERN collider energies as an example. The yields are disappointingly small. We also comment on possible χ(cc)χ(cc) contributions to ψψ production.
