Abstract

The 32nd ASME Design Automation Conference (DAC) will be held from 10th to 13th of September, 2006, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ASME's DAC serves the important function of promoting research and disseminating knowledge in areas dealing with Design Automation. In the conference, 161 papers will be submitted and 119 papers will be accepted after a rigorous peer review process. The paper will cover important topics such as Design Representation, Design Optimization, Design Evaluation, and Design Integration. One panel session will focus on 'DAC Accomplishments, Current Status, and Future Trends and Needs: From Industry's Prospective'. One outstanding paper will be selected for the Best Paper Award, which will be sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. DAC has also witnessed tremendous growth and has renewed focus in both research and educational efforts related to the core areas.
