3D Topographic Imaging of Columnar-Thin-Film-Coated Fingermarks using Transport of Intensity

Abstract

The transport of intensity technique is used to recover 3D topograms of columnar-thin-film-coated fingermarks on various substrates. The technique is found to be especially useful for highly scattering samples, where holographic methods perform poorly.
