Abstract

The 9th International Ceramic Processing Science Symposium (ICSS9) marks the 20th anniversary of the ceramic processing science series. The discipline of ceramic processing has made significant progress in colloid and surface chemistry, powder synthesis, precursor-derived systems, and sintering since 1986 when ICPPS was first held in Boston. Application and advances if ceramic processing science to extremely fine scale MLCCs, transparent ceramics, electronic ceramics, solid oxide fuels, and structural ceramics will be presented. The symposia will cover varies topics such as powder synthesis, colloid dispersion, patterning, wet and dry shaping methods, and reaction-based processes.
