Abstract
The 9th International Ceramic Processing Science Symposium (ICPSS9) marks the 20th anniversary of the ceramic processing science series. The discipline of ceramic processing has made significant progress in colloid and surface chemistry, powder synthesis, precursor-derived systems and sintering since 1986 when ICPPS was first held in Boston. Much still needs to be done to advance the scientific underpinnings of these processes as well as the emergent areas of nanotechnology and its associated challenges. The planned symposia series will cover topics in the areas of powder synthesis, colloid dispersion, patterning and many more.
