Abstract
An alternative design methodology for achieving the design of miniature multiband loaded fractal dipole antennas is presented. This methodology employs a genetic algorithm (GA) to evolve a class of multiband antennas, called stochastic antennas, which offer optimal performance characteristics. Several examples of optimized stochastic antennas are given.
