Abstract
The proceedings of the symposium on the role of climate change in the US presidential politics are discussed. Panelists comprised of Professor Jonathan H. Adler along with moderator professor Ross H. Pifer of the Pennsylvania State University. Climate policy has not been one of the issues that have been getting the most publicity during this campaign, but both Senators McCain and president Obama have developed policies that will address climate change. The professors also discussed about cap and trade plan which aims at achieving a certain emissions reduction by 2050. The vast majority of greenhouse gases that China and India are going to emit are going to be coming from their burning coal in coal-fired power plants that are yet to be built. Professor Jonathan H. Adler and Professor Ross H. Pifer also answered some questions about the future of environment.
