Abstract

A DNA polymerase activity has been identified in the plasma membranes isolated from a rat hepatoma (the Zajdela Ascitic Hepatoma). The enzyme activity was found specifically associated with the detergent insoluble skeleton of the plasma membranes from which it cannot be dissociated by conventional methods. The properties of the enzyme are indistinguishable from those of DNA polymerase-α.
