A fiber fabry-perot interferometer as stable wavelength reference for high resolution astronomical spectrographs

Abstract

We discuss the tested utility of a commercial single-mode fiber cavity as a precise calibration reference for an astronomical spectrograph and present a future fiber-interferometer being designed for a next generation planet-finding instrument.
