Abstract

This paper represents a half-bridge inverter with an active auxiliary circuit. The auxiliary circuit is implemented to provide Zero Voltage (ZV) transition for all the switches. The main features of the proposed inverter are simple PWM control strategy, high efficiency and low harmonic distortion of the output current. The optimal operation of the inverter will be evaluated corresponding to the duty cycle of the main switch, S1. The simulation results are provided by PSCAD/EMTDC software to verify the advantages of the proposed topology.
