Abstract

This paper will present a novel neuro controller for a synchronous generator based feedback signals from voltage, Speed, active and reactive power. This controller is consisted of two independent controllers i.e. transient controller and voltage regulator. In order to design voltage regulator we use a proposed adaptive PI controller and for transient stabilizer we use Gain-Scheduling PSS controller. The output of this controller is sum of output of Gain-scheduling PSS and PI controllers. For combination of these two outputs it is used a membership function as smooth switch. This membership function is a function of measurable parameter of system. The effectiveness of the proposed global control action is demonstrated through some computer simulations on a Single-Machine Infinite-Bus (SMIB) power system.
