A Static Output Feedback Predictive Control for A System with Multiple Input Delays

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

With the widespread use of the networked controlled system, dealing with delays in a control system is getting more important. However, the conventional method for finding a stabilizing controller with augmented states experiences large complexity proportional to the delay. To deal with this problem, a static output feedback predictive control for a system with multiple input delays is considered in this paper. A sufficient condition for asymptotic stability is presented in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) of which size does not change with delay. The corresponding control signal is shown to depend on the current output signal and past input history. Numerical evaluation verifies the efficacy of the proposed method.
