Abstract

The focus of this work is on compensation of (network-induced) randomly varying delays in integrated communication and control systems. An estimator is required to realize the delayed states if the compensation algorithm is based on the principle of dynamic programming. A stochastic output feedback regulator that does not require state estimation is being developed to improve the robustness of the delay compensator. Some of the pertinent results of this ongoing research are presented.
