Abstract

This project examines the temperature differences between parts molded in P20 and rapid tooling inserts. A P20 insert was used as a baseline to compare the two sets of rapid tooling inserts. One of the rapid tooling inserts had the conventional cooling lines similar to the P20 insert. The other rapid tooling insert had conformal cooling lines. The temperatures were recorded as the parts came out of the mold.
