Abstract

This paper describes the workforce development activities supported by America's Cutting Edge (ACE), a national initiative for machine tool technology development and advancement, and Metallurgical Engineering Trades Apprenticeships & Learning (METAL), a national initiative to develop a modern workforce capable of advancing the nation's casting, forging, and metallurgy capabilities. Collectively, these two programs comprise the ACE Network, ACENet, supported by the Department of Defense Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program from the Office of Industrial Policy. The online and in-person components of the training programs are summarized and participation information is provided.
