Abstract
The influence of acoustic waves on the leaching kinetics of potassium from the interlayer positions in mica was studied. Acoustic waves were found to stimulate the process remarkably. The particle size of mica was shown to be a most significant parameter in enhancing the leaching rate; below a critical particle size acoustic waves do not affect the leaching process.
