Additively Manufactured 8x8 Butler Matrix Beamformer Design

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

In this paper, the design of an 8 × 8 Butler matrix, for fabrication with additive manufacturing, is presented. The use of additive manufacturing offers more design flexibility, with the opportunity to design parts in 3-dimensions. Individual component design (hybrid couplers, phase shifters, and crossovers) is presented along with simulated results. Additionally, the full Butler matrix design is presented along with simulated results.
