Abstract

A review of aerospace systems automation is provided with an emphasis on examples and design principles. First, a discussion of aerospace systems manufacturing automation is provided, followed by a discussion of automation in the operation of aerospace systems, including aircraft and air traffic control. The chapter provides guidance to managers, engineers, and researchers tasked with studying or building aerospace systems.
