Abstract

Sm-La-O-F series catalysts show good performance for oxidative dehydro-genation of ethane (ODE) reaction. 89.7% of ethene selectivity and 22.1% of ethane conversion were achieved on Sm2O3-LaF3(1:1 in mole) at 973 K. Atom force microscope (AFM) images clearly show that for the Sm2O3-LaF3(1:1), its particles locate compelled, and their radii are uniform, while for the Sm2O3-LaF3 (1:3) and Sm2O3-LaF3(3:1) the particles locate loose and their radii vary greatly.
